Other tracks to watch out for are the “Title”/”Busy Street”, “Bay Side”, “Perfect Girulian”, and “Staff Roll” (which isn’t metal).
This definitely goes on the same level as Golden Axe. The loop ends at 1:30 with another nice guitar riff and some excellent drumwork. Yamane-san does some great layering with the various guitar and trumpet lines, as well as some crazy effects with the guitar – pay special attention at 0:45. The introduction seems passive enough, with a kind of organ section that quickly picks up speed with some nice guitar. “Central City” is pretty good brawl music, with aggressive rock that captures forward movement and good track development. Ghost Chaser Dansei – “Central City” (Noboru Yamane)
It seems to be part of a series called Denjin Makai (which you might translate as “Demon God Power”). Composed by Noboru Yamane ( JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Cobra Team, NOT Capcom Choujikuu Yousai Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie), the soundtrack is mostly guitar-driven, and has some pretty good pieces, such as “Central City”. The game is about three ghost hunters after evil spirits who have joined a crime syndicate (ok…). Here’s another obscure game, this time a beat ’em up by the hilariously named WinkySoft, Ghost Chaser Dansei (1994).
